June 30, 2008 - Confirmations have gone out!
Thank you for entering the AgileDogs July 2008 USDAA trial! Special
thanks for those who have volunteered to help. Trials could not happen
without the wonderful folks who volunteer to work! If you have not yet
volunteered but would like to, we still have openings on the schedule.
Contact Trisha (Trisha@agiledogs.net
or 518-794-0168). Volunteering is a great way to learn more about the
sport of agility and be close to the action! We'll have a worker
raffle each day plus lunch tickets and snacks for all volunteers.
There will be check
in and setup on Friday night, from 5:00-6:30pm.
On Saturday and Sunday the grounds will be open for setup starting at
6:45am. Check in and measuring will be from 7-7:45 AM on Saturday,
with judge's briefing at 7:45. On Sunday, check in will be
from 7:15-7:30, with judge's briefing at 7:30. All dogs without a
permanent height card must be measured before the first class of the day
starts.
We
will have 2 food vendors for the weekend!
On Saturday we’ll have
Barry Rosen Photography will be taking action agility shots both days.
His photos can be viewed online at
www.barryrosen.com
Other vendors (visit them, they all have great items!) will be Bird Dawg
Embroidery, Fluggles, and Unique Magnetic Jewelry.
Because of the light entries for this trial, we have decided to change the
running order a bit. We will
still have 2 rings, but will be using one judge, Kim Donnell.
So as not to slow the show down, one ring will be built for the next
class while the other ring is running a class; then, when the other ring’s
class is done, the judge will switch rings and that ring will run while the
other is being built for the next class.
Sound confusing? Well,
maybe the way I explained it here it is, but trust me, it’ll all make sense
at the show! What this system
will allow us to do is to efficiently run the trial, to have no conflicts
for workers or exhibitors, to give everyone plenty of walk through time, and
to let everyone watch and cheer on everyone else’s runs!
